Valley of the Wolves
This series revolves around the political, social, and personal events of all its episodes, focusing on the character of Murad Alamdar (Polat Alamdar). The series explores the Turkish mafia, which is linked to several foreign powers. Murad is recruited by the National Security Agency to dismantle the mafia and address a range of political and economic issues. During his mission, he discovers much about his family and his own life.
The story of the Valley of the Wolves series:
The events of the first season revolve around a young man named Ali Candan, who works for the National Intelligence Organization (KGT). He is chosen for a dangerous mission called Valley of the Wolves, which aims to destroy the empire founded by Mehmet Karahanlı. Ali is forced to leave his family before the mission begins, and his facial features are altered through surgery to give him a new appearance. He is given a new identity as “Murad Alamdar.” To facilitate his operation, Murad becomes part of the mafia through Suleiman اakır. Together, they form a team that makes Murad a name for himself in the mafia, attracting the attention of the Valley Council. After conflicts, Suleiman اakır is killed on the orders of the Saw Necmi, in order to give Murad the opportunity to rise to prominence with the help of Memati and Abdülhey.
Murad decides to avenge his friend Shaker, which enrages the Karahanli, who decides to kill him. However, he is surprised to discover that Murad might be his own son. The first part ends with the death of Aslan, Murad’s trainer, and the continuation of the Valley of the Wolves operation. In the second part, Murad discovers that his selection for the Valley of the Wolves operation was a setup. He was kidnapped as a child from his Karahanli father’s home and placed in an orphanage. Later, he was adopted by a family and joined the intelligence service. Murad’s love for his country fueled his determination to continue his mission. He carried out several operations for the Council until the Karahanli was assassinated by the Freemasons. The Council then decides to recruit Murad and appoint him as its Baron, enabling Murad to achieve his objective of destroying the Council.
New enemies of the Turks appear in later seasons, along with powerful and malevolent Turkish and foreign figures aiming to seize control of the Turkish state. Murad embarks on a new mission entrusted to him by the Elders: to confront these enemies, from Iskender to Baron Feller and Ersoy. Murad succeeds in eliminating them. At the end of season six, Murad loses his closest friend, Memati. In season seven, Murad begins his quest for revenge for Memati’s death, aided by Abdul Hay, Kara, and a group of friends. Murad encounters a traitor within the Elders’ ranks, Sancar, whom he eliminates, but leaves behind another enemy named Poyraz.
The Freemasons also return in this season with the goal of controlling the Elders. Thus, control of the Turkish state was established with the help of Poyraz. However, Murad managed to keep the secret of the organization. The season ends with a scene showing Murad’s execution at the hands of Akif, who knew the contents of the genealogy book. Everyone believed Murad to be dead, but in reality, he lived and reappeared in the new season as the head of the Council of Elders. It was all Akif’s doing. Murad continues his fight against the Freemasons by planting Murat, who was a candidate for the position of Baron in his organization. Murat is killed by his close friend Sarp after his betrayal is discovered. Sarp also seeks revenge for Murad, believing him to be dead, and exploits Cahit and Safiye, who have returned to Turkey to establish a foundation that serves the interests of the Temple Guardians.
Murad decides to reveal himself to Abdul Hay, who couldn’t accept Murad’s secrecy. Murad then seeks Kara’s help in establishing the Black Banner group, which aims to fight the Armageddon Freemasons. Kara agrees, and Murad decides to reappear before Jahid, who stipulates that he continue his secret mission with the Freemasons and maintain contact with Murad. Meanwhile, new enemies of the Turkish state emerge, led by Vahab, who strive to destroy the Elders and establish a Masonic-controlled regime in Turkey. The conflict reignites, and a new enemy, Mr. Key, appears, having successfully deciphered the Elders’ code. Jahid detonates the temple where the Freemasons meet, killing Vahab but sparing the Grand Master. In retaliation, Mr. Key bombs the KGT headquarters, where Abdul Hay, Gaya, and some members of the National Security Organization were present, thus concluding the eighth season.
After Abdul Hay’s death, Murad decides in the ninth season to take matters into his own hands and hold accountable all those responsible for the bloodshed. He begins Operation Pyramid, which aims to infiltrate the Masonic web, and succeeds, exposing their secrets to the world. Later, a terrorist group kidnaps Baba Omar. Mr. Key also kidnaps Kara and his group from their detention and hands them over to a British agent at the ISIS camp where Baba Omar is being held. Kara and his group are then ambushed, and Mr. Key takes them under the pretext that they killed UN forces. However, the truth is that a commander at the ISIS camp named Saqr and his group were responsible. Mr. Key injects Kara and his group with the Ebola virus and sends them to Greece to spread the epidemic, where they are killed by the police.
Kara goes with Murad Alamdar to rescue Baba Omar from an ISIS camp, where ISIS orders its soldiers to kill him so he dies a leader, not from Ebola. Murad succeeds in rescuing Baba Omar, who dies while praying in the mosque. British Freemasons plot to portray Murad as a terrorist. Other characters appear, such as Brandon, the man in charge of the area, and a conflict ensues with Murad. The Russian character, Andrei the Fox, returns. Murad’s mother, Nazik, dies after Martin changes her medication. Agha Sattar is killed, and Safiye and Bosat are kidnapped by Andrei the Fox. Bosat tries to escape but fails and is tortured in a glass box filled with water. Murad and Jahid rescue him. Murad also tries to rescue Safiye, traveling to Russia to take Andrei’s brother, Stefan, hostage to pressure him, but Andrei is unconcerned.
Murad discovers that the Fox has sedated Safia with a serum meant for stray animals. She recovers, but is unable to move and has no memory of what happened. Safia is then kidnapped from the hospital, and Murad tries to stop them, shooting Stefan. Minutes later, he discovers his daughter Rahaf is missing, but she has actually hidden in the closet, frightened. Murad proposes to Layla, and she accepts. On their wedding day, Martin and Lisa arrive, and Murad exposes Martin’s true identity, killing him with a golf club. Murad’s friends and some of his enemies attend the wedding. The Fox sends a woman to kill Safia, but Murad saves her at the last moment. He then goes to Russia and burns the Fox. Afterward, he goes on vacation with Layla, but their yacht is blown up at night while Murad is away. The part ends with Layla’s death.
